2-Day Sculpting Hands Workshop (March)

Course Description

This 2-day workshop is designed for artists of all levels who are eager to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of human anatomy through focused study of the hand. In this workshop you will:- - Learn about the structure of the human hand. - Understand the proportions and movements that define the naturalistic depiction of hands. - Gain experience of using sculpting tools and clay. - Explore techniques such as blocking in shapes, refining details, and creating texture. - Receive feedback and guidance to improve your technique. We will also look at the work of renowned figurative sculptors who have excelled in depicting hands. You will be working from observation and by measuring a cast of a hand on the first day, then on the second day, from a life model.
